If you saw the video of Evanescence called "My Immortal" and Christina Aguilera's "The Voice Within", you will wonder that they have the same style of video and they have the same type of clothes. I'm sure that they have different Recording Company, but I'm not sure if they are also the one whose responsible for music video making. Both videos were released at the same month if I'm not wrong and I know for sure that one of them is the original and the other is the copycat.

IDOL: IS THIS YOUR THING?

If anyone of you who doesn't know what's an idol, probably you lived under a cave. Idol is a competition where people sing and they have to impress the judges, but the viewers are the one who will decide the future of the contestants, if you win it you will win a recording deal and could be the next biggest popstar around. It was first made in Britain and now runs in over a dozen countries such as U.S.A., South Africa, Germany, Norway and more. Currently American Idol is in it's 3rd Season and NZ Idol is on it's 1st Season. Even fat and not beautiful people win this competition. But sometimes those are the ones who can sing better than the rest. If you've watched the World Idol last December 2003. The winner is from Norway, his name is Kurt Nilsen and a judge from Australia says "If this is a Middle Earth Idol you will win this". At the end he bagged the title of World Idol and today's music is not about face anymore but it's now about the music.

You will notice that Britney Spears is totally different if you compared her looks and style in 1998. From kissing Madonna in MTV Awards to getting married in Las Vegas but only last for 48 hours. Some critics say that she only kissed Madonna to make Justin Timberlake more angry. If you will see Justin Timberlake's face when Britney did the Madonna stunt, he looks like a person who just lost his wallet. Her songs are also different and more mature. I only have one clue why Britney is doing all this stuff. I think if you are a popstar you have to do something different and it will make into headlines. We all know that pop music doesn't last long when you started bad. So this is just a Britney stunt and you have to watch out for other big stars in the near future.

NZ IDOL: THE MOST WATCHED IDOL BY POPULATION

New Zealanders have proved to be a patriotic bunch, the first episode of NZ Idol rating higher than any international formats by population. More than 1.2 million viewers aged over five tuned in on Sunday night to watch local hopefuls auditioning for the talent quest in Wellington and Christchurch. The average audience - the number of viewers watching at any one time - was 885,600. It means that 1 in 4 New Zealanders watched the premiere of NZ Idol. TV2 announced that the only TV2 shows that gained more than a million viewers in New Zealand are Shortland Street and Friends.

IRISH MAN ATTACKING STARS

Do you remember him? Yes, he's that judge from the Irish Popstars, which is another crapstars series. Lately, I have been hearing that he's attacking popstars such as Michelle McManus-the new UK Idol, Mel C and Victoria Beckham from Spice Girls, Rachel Stevens from S Club 7 and Holly Valance from Neighbours. Walsh told the radio network GWR "I dont't think she's going to do well" talking about Michelle McManus. But the good thing about this is that Michelle McManus manage to Top the UK Singles Chart for three weeks and it ain't bad for a beginner. He also say that none of the ex-Spice Girls are going to sell records ever again. He also think that Rachel Stevens won't last long in a solo career. And for Holly Valance he said that she should return to soap opera in Australia. I think this guy has nothing to do in his life at the moment. Another man trying to be a Simon Cowell, which can't be copied. For my conclusion, it's too early to say if those popstars he mentioned will be sticking for a long time in music industry. But for the fact that British are huge fan of Pop music and he could be wrong.

ANOTHER JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE IN OUR BACKYARD

I keep telling people that Pharrell has the same kind of voice or copying Justin Timberlake's Voice. I think they have the same voice but Pharrel do RnB and Justin still do 90% Pop. And this time, the new guy from USA called Eamon with the current hit song called "(F*ck It) Dont Wan't You Back". His voice sounds the same as Justin Timberlake but it's more angrier. This is just my opinion and well, it's up to them to sounds like that and it really annoys me.
